My FS Girls

My FS Girls

Day 5, Sunday: Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them? If you don’t have blogger friends, talk about a real-life friend or even a family member.

I have to say, I read lots of blogs, but since I’ve started my own, I haven’t made any friends through blogging.  At this point, you could say I’m just getting my feet wet in the blogging world.

But in the real world, I am blessed enough to say I have too many people to choose from.  I know a ton of wonderful people I am blessed to call family and friends, but for today, these wonderful ladies are standing out in my mind.

FS Girls

Above is our signature iPhone group shot from last night’s dinner.  From left to right, there’s Di, Trish, me and Jo.  Actually, I just realized we only use nicknames for each other.  Technically the list would be Diana, Patricia (you’re welcome, friend!), Cynthia (I go by Cyn) and Johanna, but we rarely use our full names when we are together.

The girls and I have been friends since elementary and high school.  Di and I went to elementary school together and we picked up Trish and Jo along the way in high school.  The four of us have memories that go waaaay back, and when we get together, we are a non-stop ball of energy.  We were lucky enough last night to get together for dinner and had a wonderful time.  We always say, it never ceases to amaze us how natural it is when we get together, whether it’s been 1 month or 6 months  since the last time we’ve seen each other.

I’m so happy to call these women some of my very best friends.  And I’m even happier to say we see each other closer to the 1 month than 6 month range as we dive into our *cough* 30’s *cough.*

Since these women and I go so far back, I’ll end with some of our favorite, most memorable moments.

Love you girls!

*If you live on Long Island, I just have to tell you about last night’s dinner spot.  We ate at MP Taverna in Roslyn and it was excellent. If you need a spot for your next dinner with friends or family, I would highly recommend it.  Just be sure you have a reservation!
