Our challenge for Day 20: Get real. Share something you’re struggling with right now.
This one is easy at the moment. I’m definitely struggling with timing. From getting ready for work in the morning to fitting in weekly workouts, finding enough time for everything I want and need to get done has been a battle. And the constant feeling of being in a rush leaves me feeling disorganized and forgetful, enabling me to make simple mistakes I am not used to making. When I see myself making small errors in task I can typically complete without a second thought, I know some changes must be made.
It’s time for me to slow down. Just a bit. Re-evaluate. Stop and smell the roses. This is not new stuff. It’s actually quite true as each school year comes to a close (and usually when it starts, too!). Throw in last week’s case of laryngitis and this week’s residual exhaustion and I am not the happiest camper on the block. I do apologize.
So join me in this quest to find balance if you’d like. To find the little things in life that remind us to smile. Remember how the journey all began in the first place. Count your blessings in this often crazy and hectic life.
And if you are a teacher…or are friends with a teacher…or in a relationship with a teacher, enjoy this little tidbit.
So unbelievably true.
